Phil has more than 22 years of experience with Merrill Lynch, having joined the Firm in 1988. His primary focus is on asset management strategies. He serves as the team's lead Portfolio Manager, overseeing the portfolio management and security selection process of the team's portfolios within the Merrill Lynch Personal Investment Advisory^® (PIA ) Program. As a Senior Portfolio Manager, he can build and manage custom portfolio strategies as well as provide traditional advice and guidance. In addition, Phil focuses on identifying appropriate third-party investment managers for clients.

He also holds the Certified Investment Management Analyst^SM (CIMA^®) designation and is a member of the Investment Management Consultants Association, Inc. Phil was recognized by Barron's in its 2010 listing of America's Top 1,000 Advisors, determined by client assets, return on assets and client satisfaction, among other things. He was ranked among the top 75 Financial Advisors in Texas. He received a Bachelor's degree from Baylor University and is active in his church and community.
